I know that feeling. I always had negative energy running through my veins from the time I was a teenager into my younger twenties. It caused anxiety, depression, stress... you name it! I've always had somewhat of a skewed perception of humanity, which sometimes makes me paranoid about being around certain individuals or just thinking about bad past run-ins I've had with other people. I mainly created this topic because I was feeling this way recently when I started thinking negatively about the past and some of the hateful people I have managed to run into. Once you get stuck in a negative spiral, it can be tough to get yourself out of it. -
I finally got to level 49 in Pokemon GO. One level to go to reach the maximum level.

What do you do when you start drifting into a negative state of mind? Do the negative thoughts keep generating through your mind, do you occupy your time with hobbies/interests to try and defeat the thoughts, or do you try and start thinking positively instead? What's your method for defeating the demons within?

My board on Jcink had a DDOS attack once and John, the Jcink owner, said it was one of the worst ones he's seen on his platform. Are there any real benefits for people who commit DDOS attacks, or are they just psychopaths?

I know the feeling, I usually go to sleep around 10 - 11 PM these days. I used to stay up till about 3 - 4 AM.

It's technically Monday now in my neck of the woods, but Sunday was one of the more boring days I've had. I feel like there wasn't much going on around my household or the sites I usually visit, and I felt kind of "blah" until I recently woke up from a much-needed nap. I feel better now after the nap.

I was suspended from a Facebook page related to coding because I posted a non-self-promoted link to useful online documentation. That's the closest I've ever been to being banned/suspended on a social media platform.

Every time. I never thought much about using Discord as an advertising outlet. I think I've tried using Tumblr to advertise once and have a hard time navigating my way around endless pages on social media networks, almost as if it feels too overwhelming. But yeah, the RP scene is the most massive on Jcink out of all niches, so it could help lead to more traffic and engagement on my board. My most popular code for Jcink is a code I created to change the avatar on a per-post-basis, a lot of people started requesting to modify it to a greater extent to change the username, character details, and other relevant information that can retain to a specific character. That proves how popular the RP scene is on Jcink.

Although I sacked all social media apps/websites I used to visit, Reddit remains my favorite due to the number of different subreddits that discuss various things and the abundance of information the site contains.

It's Christmas time at jCodes with 1/2 off all shop items and a raffle to display a banner advertisement on jCodes for one month. :)

It just depends on where I would promote my site on social media. If I were to find pages related to Jcink I think I could find a target audience interested enough to at least peek at my board. But I digress, promoting my board on the forum software itself is probably the best way to gain traffic.

I forgot I had a general discussion forum at one point too. We split jCodes into two forums, jCodes and jDiscussions. jDiscussions was a general discussion forum, and jCodes remained a coding-only forum. Later on, we re-combined jDiscussions back into jCodes because jDiscussions did not gain much traction. Suffice it to say, that was a bad mistake splitting the two boards a part. There are well over 400 topics in the Trash Can due to this once made move.

I don't have an ounce of social media presence for my forum and I gain 30+ members a month on average. I feel a forum of my type is better promoted across the forum software. I'm sure I could gain a lot of visitors on social media if I were to use it, but I can't grow fond of any social media these days.

I'm a pretty lax administrator/moderator. For instance, when someone posted an advertisement on my board when I required X amount of posts that they didn't have, I just removed the rule. People who come to the board to spam only usually get banned straight away, on the other hand. I've mostly always been a laid-back person, so I'm never keen to put my foot down to enforce rules that may seem more "minor" to me. If someone is breaking the law or doing something very unethical, I will probably step in immediately, but if you bump an advertisement thread before the 30 days of the last post, I'm not going to go psycho on your first instance of doing so.
