How often does your forum get a new member?
I gain, on average, 30 - 40 members a month. However, most of these registrations are to view the resource forums. I have little posting activity for a board with 2000+ members.

Chain of Command Styles
Since I've been flying solo for many years, there's only an Admin group. If I have a fully-fledged team for a resource board I would probably have three user groups for staff members: Admin, Resource Team, and Community Team

Community Chat Thread
Not really. I have to go to work on Saturday for only 4 hours, but I'm off on Sunday. Once again, I will work overnight tonight for our weekly truck. Maybe I'll brainstorm some extensions I could bring to the table on ForumSpark over the weekend.

JavaScript now mandatory for Google Search, Google confirms
I was misled by the title too. JavaScript must be enabled in your web browser for Google to perform a search query. JavaScript being used on the site itself is irrelevant.

any vapers here?
I've never taken a puff of anything in my whole life.

Paid or Free Theme
Free theme, because I can code one myself and my friend can design it. 😀

NodeBB v4.0.0 has been released
It looks quite nice. The infinite scrolling in the forum and topic view is quite a convenience and the indicator to tell what post number you're viewing on the right side is pretty neat! It does look like modern-day forum software for sure!

I had to get my tires aired today because they were low, especially one. I originally forgot to set the PSI that it should be set to, so it seemed like the tires were deflating instead of inflating because the PSI either went down or stayed around the same. After I aired my tires, it said the low one was still low, so I figured it might leak. I just had to drive around a little for the PSI warning to go away. So all is well now, which is good considering I have to drive out of town tomorrow!

DC vs Marvel
I'm with MrDawn on this one. I prefer Marvel, and I love that they team up together in X-Men and The Avengers. X-Men is my favorite of all superhero films.

Last non-internet thing you did?
I drove my father to the pharmacist to pick up some medication. He's been feeling pretty terrible this year thus far.

If you weren't into forums...
I'd probably be playing video games a lot more often and perhaps get into watching TV/films. I play a few video games daily, but I'd probably try to get into more of them. I rarely watch TV/films since I spend so much time behind my computer and iPhone screens, but I imagine if I weren't into forums I'd find them more appealing. I might even try reading, but my attention span is short.

I'm going out of town on Wednesday for the second time in the past two weeks to help with inventory for another Michaels store. There are so many little things you have to count, it can be quite time-consuming, but with a big team of people alongside to help it gets done in about 7 - 8 hours.

How do you insult someone without swearing?
- How many platforms have you used? Why did you leave them?
- What platforms have you left for another?
I left ProBoards to go back to ZetaBoards due to finding it harder to familiarize myself with the software and I essentially knew everything I could about the ZetaBoards platform, so I figured why reinvent the wheel.- What keeps you going as a forum owner or admin?
Forums are my go-to to destress and relax. I have a passion for them considering I've been using them for over two decades. I own a resource board that's all about providing and helping fellow administrators, which can be a gratifying accomplishment. I too have a passion for coding using JavaScript/jQuery, so a resource board for software that highly relies on this programming language to enhance and customize the board, I enjoy what I do.- Staff Age Requirements
I never exactly verified a user's age before promoting a staff member in my community. I used their etiquette and morals as members to decide if they should be qualified. I'm sure it's a good idea to verify a user's age before promoting them to an extent, as the maturity level of the youth could play a factor in their role as a staff member.- So, how do you choose a community platform?
I've always stuck with free, non-self-hosted platforms due to not necessarily having the money to use paid forum software, especially now that I only have a part-time job with bills to pay. Being an avid user of the Zathyus Networks platform where I discovered how I could create my very own forum in the first place if I wanted to continue my forum legacy and not abandon all of the codes and themes I coded for the Zathyus Networks platform, I had to move elsewhere. Jcink was a forum software I heard about off and on, but especially during the impending doom of Zathyus Networks. So, I took a peek around the software and it was much like using InvisionFree again since it's based on the same software. I couldn't find many resource forums on the platform that were solely dedicated to resources for the software, so I decided to create one. That was a major selling point for me moving to the Jcink platform, wanting a place to convert my work and others for administrator's use across the software. It seemed to have the basic features and more I needed to create what could be a successful forum, so I stuck with it. Granted, I use a lot of JavaScript to enhance my board even further, but that's deemed to be something done when you use non-self-hosted software.- How many platforms have you used? Why did you leave them?
I've only used non-self-hosted forum platforms: InvisionFree: I left InvisionFree to convert to ZetaBoards. ZetaBoards: I left ZetaBoards due to issues I was having with people and later on, closing down. ProBoards: I left ProBoards to return to ZetaBoards. Jcink: This is the platform I currently use. I may consider creating a new forum on the recently established, ForumSpark.- Cartoons
I don't even watch much TV, in general, these days. I feel like I haven't watched a cartoon in ages. If I did watch animated shows, it probably would be anime. As I grew older, I started admiring more realistic visuals behind the screen, which is why I don't watch many cartoons.- Fights with friends online
I don't know if I've ever had "fights" with friends online, but small arguments. We quickly agreed to drop the subject and do our own thing. I don't believe I've ever had an online friendship diminish due to arguments.- How long does Google Search Console take to index a new site?
I only have 9 - 10 pages of indexed content on Google and I've been open for 6+ years. I had 30+ pages at one point, but that didn't last long. I don't have content consistently posted across my forum, so no wonder Google Bot is not finding more content to index. Also, I use non-self-hosted software so I don't have as much power behind the wheel to enhance my SEO. I check my Google Search Console on average every other day. I've received 50 clicks in the past 3 months, which isn't terrible considering the minimal content indexed. I've had 1.93k impressions, however.
