Forums are not as popular as they once were.
The question is - how can we do that? I think we have to reimagine forums for that to happen. What we like in terms of categories and structure may look clunky to them. Interested in hearing what you think.

What part of community building makes you struggle?
I struggle when I have to take action - disciplinary action. It's not that I don't know what to do; it's that I wish everyone could get along and we could all keep having a good time. I hate dealing with problem members. I hate having to issue warnings and ban people. It always created some sort of divide and temporary drama. Drama is the struggle to deal with. I'm laid back and like to keep the community laid back, but sometimes, stuff happens.

MyBB's Development Release 1.9
I really hope to see MyBB come out of its slump and release something modern. It looks modern out of the box but when you go to the default theme on a mobile device, you're like "Oh, this is not a mobile site." I've always enjoyed MyBB back when I used it. I hope they release something beautiful some day!

Sidebars - Yes or No?
At first, I wanted to make it simplified so I went with no sidebars but I think it took away the familiar feel of the forum, so I've added them back for now :)

How do you define growth
Growth to me is logging in every day and seeing new posts from other members. That's what matters. Well, that and the relationships being made. A community isn't really a community without relationship development.

The Share an SEO Tip Thread.
Create list articles or listicles - strategically. Look up your keyword on Google. Look at all the listicle results. Find the highest numbered list result. Create something that nearly doubles the amount of listed items. Go with an odd number because it tends to stand out and become eye-catching. Listicles and how-to articles are your best friends in terms of SEO. I get most of mine on page one every time.

Forums are not as popular as they once were.
I think forums are still popular with those of us who've always enjoyed being on them and running them. But new generations were born on social media. That's their forum. We were born on forums. I think we need to focus on each other and people within our age groups and niches rather than trying to convince generations to convert.

Favorite music genres?
I honestly like all genres. I've not found one I don't like yet. You might find me listening to old-school hip hop or fast rap one day and bluegrass or trap the next day. I try to look at the art of what makes music awesome and be open-minded about it.

New Forum Admin Advice; Post on your own site regularly
Posting on your own site is very important. I post a lot on my forums. I usually try to post 1-3 times in each main niche section of the forum on a daily basis. I dominate the topics and always have the most posts but some of them go into 2+ pages so I must be doing good. I think some forum owners are afraid of posting too much on their own forum. What do you all think about posting too much on your own forum? Is there such a thing?

Best Non-Self-Hosted Forum Software
I'm going to Second Circle. I am the Community Manager for Copyblogger. Our community platform is Circle, which is like a forum with social networking features. It's $100 a month for the best features. I was building an upcoming paid community with it but decided to pause doing it until I get my courses made. I'd prefer to somewhat turn it into passive income if I can help it.
