I'm more of a PVE person (I avoid the dark zone), so it is unlikely, since it seems like it's a PVP thing.

Oh man I love The Division. Sad they fumbled it with The Division 2. I still play The Division from time to time.

I play these two games on my phone: Storyteller, and Rainbow Six: SMOL. Its a good way to pass the time.

Yea I don't bother even trying to read long TOS texts. If it was engaging and a little funny, perhaps. But long, multi page TOS text are just overwhelming.

I used to crave friendships. But as I grew older, I realised that being alone isn't so bad. you get to listen to your own thoughts, and there's no one to really bother you. Do I miss having lots of friends and companionship? Yes. I miss it. But I also found a kind of peace being alone.

I feel the same way also. Adding too many features at the beginning just overwhelms the user.

No, I feel like it gives a false sense of superiority. Also because I was part of such a group in a very old admin forum (V7N). I was awarded a "mentor" title, and we had access to a private forum, it became our venting place. I was unfortunately also like that, and I hated it.

That was the plan, actually. Just straight conversation with some niceties. I feel like it helps brings people closer. Like IRC vs Discord (man I'm old).

Light mode will be incoming soon! Profile hover cards also sound nice. I don't have any plans for modifications, but it should not be too hard to implement once everything is settled. I'd need some way to implement hooks though. Hmm. In terms of what I want to do with the forum, no idea. :D I literally coded this to exercise my brain.

So after coding for a while (3 months), I finally got my forum mostly finished. It's super janky at the moment, and there will be bugs. You can also probably guess where I took visual inspiration from. Here it is: codetana Coded in PHP, using CodeIgniter 4, running on MySQL, with some parts using SQLite. Edit: I might put this up on github or something, not sure yet.

So. After some experiences with DigitalOcean, and PHP being weird, I have uploaded my forum onto the internet. codetana. I wanted to get a new domain for use with the forum, but I could not think of a name, so I used an old domain name I had lying around. I also didn't see any programming section (unless I am blind) so here it is.

So i decided to try my hand at hosting with Digital Ocean.. It is an experience. So much simpler than wrangling with command lines to install stuff. I mean I still needed to set up SSH keys and all that, but its a lot simpler than what I had to do.

I'm pushing for my company to move towards alternative CMSes, such as Directus, or even gasp Drupal. For my own personal sites, I'm moving to Ghost, or ClassicPress.

I use namecheap, but i have some domains on cloudflare, since they sell at cost.

Finally migrated the old forum from CodeIgniter 3 to CodeIgnter 4, and cleaned up stuff along the way. Now to work on the admin panel.
