I agree, it's a shame that we will see people lose jobs due to AI, the only way it could be stopped is if search engines are stricter on content but even then, how would they be able to tell?

I am at the moment working on a forum which I am super excited about. This will be as a hobby but if I am able to make something from it for hosting costs and domain costs, that would be great.

This was something I was always worried about. With AI, it takes information that is input into the system. Eventually, the more these AI systems grow, the more they are going to see human-written text as AI-written even though it is not.

I guess with forums, at least I know I can take a break and no matter how long the break, when I come back, it is like I never left and I can go back to where I left it and just continue. With social media, it is as you say a lot different and more addictive, not only for the likes, shares, and even posts going viral, but also because you know when you leave, people will forget, or even unfollow you based on the fact that you are no longer active. That doesn't happen on forums.

I wouldn't say that I have become bored with my forums, but I know I have suffered burnout from not taking breaks when I needed to. Over the years I have learned that if I start to lose interest or feel as though being on my forum is too much, it's time to take a break!
