Best free video editing software
Da Vinci Resolve. Truth be told, it should be a paid script (there is a paid version but there difference for a beginner is not noticeable). It requires some research to use properly, but there are hundreds, if not thousands of YouTube videos on the subject.

Is social media management worth paying for or should you do it yourself?
Managing social media effectively can be a full time job. If you have a large enough operation it's worthwhile having someone to manage that for you.

UK Online Safety Act - Forums & Chatrooms
This here is the only part where many small operations such as a small forum are going to struggle. I am the assessment writer, the responsible person, the owner and the approver. This is not an 'organisation', its a hobby-site, There is no-one else. There is only me. Man, I'm all for keeping kids safe online. I have three of my own, but this nonsense for a small hobby site is just mental. In reality, I should be doing this for every blog I have too. And there are at least six of them.

UK Online Safety Act - Forums & Chatrooms
I completed mine in about 40 minutes. Its reasonably easy if once you get into a flow. Now I guess I just store this. There is no requirement to submit it anywhere, is there? And it's just something you can roll out should there be a complaint for you to say, "hey, I risk assessed that!"

How can we improve Administrata's Plus and Pro offers?
I like that idea. I’m sure we can implement it.

Game Talk Forum
The only issue I found with Discourse, and gametalk.tv is the first forum I have been on which uses it, is that the links don't open in a new tab. That's not a great feature as it sends users off your board and you can't be 100% certain that they will ever return.

What site would you like to own?
Google.com or Facebook.com or X.com (and then immediately sell it, retire, and you'll never see me again.

Hey hey!

How can we improve Administrata's Plus and Pro offers?
People who want to to support Administrata have the option of upgrading their account to Administrata+ or Administrata Pro. We have tried to make the benefits as optimal as we can, offering good value for money. Below is the current system. At Administrata we are constantly trying to evolve and we acknowledge when we do not get it right. Cedric and I feel that this is something which we have not right and that the system would benefit from some changes to make it more appealing. The aim is to streamline the system by having just a single upgrade to one usergroup, but before we implement any changes we wanted to ask you, the community, what you would like to see as part of the upgrade. Looking at the current system, what would need to be included for you to consider upgrading your account to support Administrata? What benefits would you like to see? Is it shiny new usergroup formatting? Discounts? Access to the Inner Circle exclusive Premium Membership forum? Or is it just the warm, fuzzy feeling you get from supporting the emergent leader in forum management communities? Tell us what you think. What works, what doesn't work in the current system, and what feature would make you part with your cold-hard cash. No changes will be made without first reviewing what you guys and girls come up with. As a special bonus, if you suggest a feature and it's implemented, you'll be granted a free three month upgrade to the new usergroup, so get those suggestions in! You have nothing to lose. Thanks for reading, Al

Would you rather have a job or run a business?
This is the way. I don't think many people who say 'I want to be my own boss' understand how difficult and stressful it is to be successful. With a job you just gotta turn up, running a business means e v e r y t h i n g is your responsibility - and that's a giant pain in the ass.

How Much Content Should You Have Before Launching a New Forum?
There is no magic number and it's difficult to strike a balance here. You want there to be content, but hundreds of unanswered threads looks bad. The focus should be on your community looking like a community with discussions already under way, not on a list of thread for people to answer.

Should Members Be Allowed to Vote on Rule Changes?
No. I keep my rules to a minimum anyway. They are very few and very obvious. Don't post illegal stuff and don't be a dick. If you have the right community ethos you don't really need rules. If you are in a situation where it is necessary to change a rule I'd question whether you have been a little too 'new admin' over those rules to begin with.

Managing a General Community
It's a bit of a double edged sword. On the one hand you have access to ALL OF THE CONTENT IN THE WORLD. You should never run out of ideas for things to post or have writers block on fresh content. On the other hand THERE ARE SO MANY GENERAL FORUMS OUT THERE. How do you stand out? Its probably both the easiest and hardest 'niche' to be successful in.
