Where would someone looking to aquire companies try and find a company to aquire and then find the best way to go through all the legality?

Just starting out is it worth while to get a website running or does it depend on what you're offering?

If you have a client that really wants that vanity .tech domain or whatever else. Do you try to steer them towards something more traditional? The cost on their end is higher and I am concerned that they see the fancy name at the end and the cheap promo and don't realize how much it will be next year.

Contracts are rather intimidating to try and put together and make sure you've got everything done well for your sake and the clients. Have you found a template that works well or do you use some different service?

What tools have you gone about using to help make sure you are operating legally in your area as a freelancer?

I have seen a handful of PTC sites claim to drive traffic to your site. Is this actually worth while? I'm not so certain I would recommend this to any clients let alone use it myself.

I have heard the idea that word of mouth has almost always been the best marketing/advertising strategy. Outside of that what have you all seen be most effective, dollar for dollar when you spend on marketing?

Where can one find a handful of various free icons that may be used commercially? I would be looking to use them for web and in a program.

Are you considering how you keep track of your freelance expenses and income? I've found that utilizing a free web app called "Wave Apps" has helped me track expenses such as mileage and allows me to easily invoice. There is a paid option for the service but for most starting free should be 100% fine. I've found when it comes time for taxes, being able to shoot off a few pdf's to my tax person makes my life and there life easier.

I am struggling to decide whether offering a service that provides SEO benefits is actually a worth while to be offering. I have heard that it can be a lost cause because of how search engines will put the highest bidder at the top of the results anyway. I am not a big fan of offering things to clients that is not going to provide them with any tangible benefit.

I would like to start helping out with some basic coding projects but I am struggling a bit. There seems to be a ridiculous amount of learning resources out there but I am a bit overwhelmed. Does anyone here have experience with any good resources for someone just starting?
