I use them on a few of my sites however most don't bother to look or even use them anymore, shop items are very limited and I find having VIP sections is a waste of time, on a big board sometimes they work however keeping content viewable is the reason we all have sites.:)

I like forum contests however as Crystal said above most of them tend to get spammy and most lose interest quickly, Intereasting content is what keeps me engaged in any contest.

I don't think it was the purpose of users seeing what notes admins put on them, it may cause some hard feelings for no reason so I would have to say no, the notes would be kept to site staff.

I've never seen SM generate much of anything for any sites I'm on, I tried them when I had gaming sites however they made no difference.

I think that is the only way I would do this again if we had members that wanted to donate, VIP and other forums are just old school.

I'm way out of the video scene however I would think landscape would be the choice.
