What mistakes have you made?
One huge mistake is trusting the wrong people. I went against my gut because I was encouraged by others to give so and so a shot, but that didn't turn out, and this isn't just one person, it's been multiple bad characters. I never knew there were so many unethical people around forums until the last few years and even though it hasn't broken me, it's made me very guarded from now on.

Would you pay to have your laundry done?
Would you pay to have your laundry done? I don't think I could do it unless I was elderly and could no longer do it myself.

Copying other's works
I'm talking illegally copying, not having a license to use art/designs. Huge difference! That's where ethics come into play.

Copying other's works
How ethical do you think it is to copy someone else's work? I've had some of my designs copied and used elsewhere without my permission. I warned them out a watermark and it was immediately removed, but I shouldn't have to even tell them to stop using it.

Holiday Themes and Features
On Christianity Haven, the owner put up the holiday themes add on and the members really are quick to gripe about it. They're not fans.

Do you use AI?
AI has so many failures at this point that it's more for entertainment purposes. I've tried it for art and it's awful!! Too many fingers on the hand and misrepresentation of what I've given for the description, it's just laughable.

When a troublesome ex-mod reapplies?
Do you automatically nix the application of an ex-mod who caused trouble? Do you try to work things out? Or just forgive and forget? Or ?

Partners and finances
Is it difficult trying to get partners to split the finances for your site? Do you both budget and then choose what to pay?

Would you allow members to see their own user notes?
Oftentimes we'll use User Notes to make comments about the members who are violating the site rules. Would you ever want members to see their own user notes? Why or why not?

Did you use vbulletin back in the day?
I LOVED vBulletin! A huge forum I was on decided to convert and everyone was in an uproar. I tried getting some friends to start a new forum to retain vbulletin, but they weren't fast enough and eventually the members adjusted to Xenforo. It's a shame that we didn't get it started because it would have taken off fast for the diehards.

Social Media
Social media hasn't generated traffic for any of the sites I've been on staff or owned. I've tried different methods too with posts/videos, etc and none of it has brought new sign ups. Google is our friend though...sometimes.

I'd hope to be on the Nice List!

Fights with friends online
There has to come a point where both step back and see if the fight is actually solving anything. Is it now a barrage of attacks? Or are new points being brought up that are relevant to the fight? Once people begin to attack me personally, I'm done. There's no need to do that if they want to really resolve anything with me.

Paid User Upgrades
We decided to do it because we had members wanting to help contribute monetarily. It was the easy solution and we don't push it.

Team Leader Roles
I think that leaders help guide those who are on their team. They're responsible, somewhat similar to a manager, to make sure that the team functions, and they don't miss their deadlines, they make sure that they're being active. I think they're extremely valuable when they're willing to do their jobs and understand what it is they're supposed to be doing.
