I feel like there's a sweet spot: a healthy level of conflict that best drives activity within a community. If there's too little conflict, then users will get bored, and drift elsewhere. If there's too much conflict, then users will get fed up of each other, and leave the board in order to avoid each other. (Either that, or the users who are left will be the kinds of people who thrive on conflict - and that's not who I am, so I'd be stuck running a community that I couldn't fit into!)

I prefer to have a rough idea of the sorts of things I'll do - but then improvise the specifics.

I try to make around 5 each day - although, if other users have made several good threads that day, I might take the day off from it :P .

I usually just go by whatever's the default (because the default tends to be the more polished of the two!) Discord is a good example. I would only ever used Dark Mode (its default option) - because its Light Mode is horrible by comparison. However, on Wikipedia, the reverse is true.

Well, I didn't do much - other than working on a forum theme! Today, I'm not feeling too bad, although I am a bit tired.

Chrome is my go-to, although I use Edge at work, because I'm too lazy to change the default browser on my work computer!

I did for a while - until I found it again :) ! But honestly, I think "giving up on it" helped me to find it again in the long run. I found ways to be content with being single - but that made me into someone who could be a better partner!
