  1. I run a religious/general discussion community and a new music lesson community. I run these things because I love those niches. I also enjoy talking with people, but you know, these days nobody has the time unless it's via post exchange or a paid deal.
  2. I don't need forum moderators because my projects are too small at the moment. However, though, if I did need them, I'd be willing to pay decently because it's not fair to underpay people. Anyway, I do have a Facebook group that needs a lot of moderation. I was thinking about getting moderator and the things I said above would apply. What is the background requirements? There are plenty of trustworthy people on the forum promotion sites online. Anyway, though, if I need more assurance, I can check their history dealing with customers somehow. Note: I really feel like a reputation system like on DigitalPoint.com is the way to go.
  3. A lot of criticism of me encountered online has been bullying, and while the environment was abusive, some good tips came thru anyhow. Anyway, though, I can handle criticism if done via a respectful environment, but the problem with those environments is that people become "too polite" and they don't give you feedback. It reminds me of restaurants I've been at which were obviously terrible, but given my kind personality, I'm highly unlikely to complain, even anonymously.
  4. My only successful advertising experience was running ads on an employment forum around 2011. In those days, SEO was much easier and I was able to secure a few hundred USD a month. Anyway, though, it's smart to note that my niche was employment. That's a good one because they have higher clicks on ads compared to many other niches. The reason is obvious. People are coming with a strong desire to get employment. But to sum it up, I'm not crazy about ad models unless it's a sure thing, like what I mentioned above.
  5. Honestly, it's difficult to get anyone to join a forum, free and especially paid these days. In that case, we can figure people aren't going to join a paid thing unless something big is in it for them. For instance, perhaps you are a well known SEO with proof of success. Such a situation could lead to a lot of paid signups.
