Do you complete writing work in advance?
When I used to manage my own websites, I made it a habit to create content ahead of time. This allowed me to save time, particularly when I needed to travel to the province to work on my thesis. I would carefully write and proofread my articles, incorporating some images to boost the overall appeal. Once completed, I saved these articles as drafts and scheduled them for upload at ideal times. However, after transitioning into a content writing role, I found it challenging to pre-write content. The evolving topics and specific requirements made it quite difficult to plan ahead effectively. Regardless of how much I wanted to work ahead, the nature of the work made it nearly impossible. Maybe in the future, when I find a new online writing gig.

Do you prefer forum writing or blog writing?
I have always had a passion for writing, and it led me to explore both blog and forum writing. My journey into blogging started back in 2008, initially as a hobby. However, as I explored deeper into the world of blogging, I discovered its potential for generating income. It was then that I made the decision to focus more on blogging. I launched two websites—one dedicated to travel and the other to beauty. Blogging not only became a source of income but also had a profoundly positive impact on my mental well-being. Unfortunately, due to financial constraints and health reasons, I faced challenges in renewing my websites, which forced me to put a pause on my blogging endeavors. But this year, I have made the decision to reignite my passion for blogging by employing a free blogging platform. I am hopeful that I will be able to acquire a domain website as a birthday present for myself. In addition to blogging, I find immense pleasure in forum posting, as it allows me to hone my writing skills and earn supplemental income. The experience also provides me with valuable insights that contribute to my journey as an online freelancer.

Do you research before you start writing?
When I first started my writing journey, my focus was primarily on expressing my personal thoughts and feelings through my blog. At that time, I mainly shared my own experiences related to travel and makeup products, without exploring deeply into extensive research. However, as I transitioned into a career as a content writer, I slowly recognized the key role that thorough research plays in creating compelling and reliable content. Consequently, I have adopted a commitment to conducting comprehensive research prior to initiating any writing project. I firmly believe that the information presented in my work must be rooted in verifiable facts and kept current to uphold its credibility. I have come to understand that confirming my claims with well-researched evidence not only boosts the accuracy of my content but also significantly boosts its persuasiveness. Ultimately, I have come to regard research as the cornerstone of effective writing, recognizing its imperative role in ensuring the integrity and impact of any written piece. Therefore, I have embraced the principle that careful research is non-negotiable in the writing process.

What is your favorite niche to write about?
Back in 2008, I decided to start my own blog as a platform to share my thoughts and ideas with the world. Little did I know at the time that this hobby would eventually turn into a potential source of income. When I first started blogging, I covered a wide range of topics without focusing on a specific niche. However, after some research, I learned about the importance of having a specific niche for a successful blog. With this in mind, I made the decision to center my content around beauty and travel, two topics that have always captivated my interest. To ensure a more tailored experience for my audience, I launched a separate blog dedicated solely to beauty-related content. This move aimed to eliminate any confusion for readers while allowing beauty enthusiasts to find a hub of beauty-related content on my website. Although I have an interest in the lifestyle niche, my passion for beauty and travel has taken priority, and I am steering my focus more toward these themes. After being on hiatus mode, I recently created a new blog using a free blogging platform, rekindling my love for blogging. I am hopeful that I will be able to invest in my blog further by acquiring a domain before the year bids goodbye.

Do You Have an Online Business?
I used to consider my online job as more than just a source of income; it was like running my own online business. Furthermore, I am actively involved in affiliate marketing on TikTok, which I also see as an integral part of my online business. In the past, I ventured into online selling to support my college education. I used to sell a variety of items, such as second-hand Apple iPhones, bags, and clothing. Moreover, I managed to successfully sell new items like car radios and Korean clothing on different e-commerce platforms. Some of the e-commerce platforms I used were Carousell and eBay. Unfortunately, I had to stop these activities due to the demands of my college thesis and health issues. Now, I am eager to reignite my online selling ventures to supplement my income, and I am in the process of scouting for new items to sell.

Do you start with a website?
Before creating a website, it is vital to ascertain the specific niche you want to focus on. Are you looking at fashion, food, travel, or perhaps something completely different? When I initially delved into blogging, my content revolved around different subjects. However, as time went on, I made the decision to narrow my focus to travel and makeup reviews. To ensure a more tailored experience for my readers, I established a separate blog dedicated only to makeup. Blogging was my first-ever online work, and it was not until conducting some research and seeking advice that I realized its potential for generating income. Eventually, it became my bread and butter, which supported my college education expenses. Be sure to create content that is pertinent to your niche and incorporate relevant hashtags. Moreover, leveraging different social media platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, to promote your website can be beneficial. Through sponsored content, affiliate marketing, and Google AdSense, you can monetize your website effectively.

Do you earn money on survey websites?
I engage in earning money by participating in online surveys. However, due to the fact that I reside in a tier-3 country, the frequency of available survey opportunities is limited. I am a member of a few survey websites, including YouGov and Rakuten Insight. I recently joined Toluna. After joining Toluna, I can confirm that it is a legitimate website, as I have successfully received payment from them on one occasion. Keep in mind that I do sometimes get disqualified from surveys, but I understand that it is part of the process and still worth it. Nevertheless, it is essential to manage expectations, especially if you live in a tier-3 country, as the earnings potential may not be high. Reliance on survey websites as a primary source of income would likely lead to disappointment. Therefore, I believe it's best to have a main source of income and use survey websites to supplement earnings.

Have you used a billboard to promote your business?
I consider my online job not only a source of income but also my personal online business. Despite its modest scale, I refrain from resorting to billboard advertisements as a means of promoting my business. In my opinion, using billboards is better suited to established business owners who can absorb the exorbitant costs associated with such marketing efforts. Although billboard advertising can be expensive, it presents a greater likelihood of capturing the attention of the intended audience. It can also help in reaching a broader demographic within a certain geographic location. Over time, a substantial investment in a billboard has the potential to yield a positive return, particularly if strategically placed in a high-traffic area. It can be helpful in driving traffic to your social media pages as well. So, for those who can afford to promote their businesses on billboards, do not hesitate to do so.

Have you used SEOClerk?
A couple of years ago, I stumbled upon SEOClerk while exploring different freelancing platforms to join. Eager to earn some extra cash, I quickly signed up and started offering my services at competitive rates. To my delight, I found it relatively easy to secure clients and ended up making close to $1000. However, my enthusiasm waned when I discovered that upgrading my services was indispensable for them to feature prominently on the front page of the platform. This led to a decline in my platform activity as I observed that those who opted for upgrades garnered more attention. Meanwhile, those who did not remained quite unnoticed. In addition, I recognized that users with higher ratings were more likely to attract clients. While I am currently reevaluating my stance on the platform, I am considering revisiting it to explore the possibility of revamping one of my services to boost its visibility and potentially attract new clients. I will probably pay $2 to upgrade.

How long have you been blogging?
I remember the time in 2008 when I made the decision to set up a domain website to start my food and travel blog. Simultaneously, I also established a domain website specifically for makeup reviews. Over the years, I devoted myself to blogging for more than 5 years. Unfortunately, due to financial constraints and health-related issues, I faced challenges in renewing my domain websites. Blogging has been an enriching experience, as it has enabled me to share my personal experiences, improve my writing skills, and create a digital footprint. In addition, I realized the potential to generate income through my websites. Although the earnings were not substantial, they did contribute to supporting my college education, for which I was grateful. After a hiatus, I recently resumed my blogging journey using a free platform. It's been a rewarding experience, and I am determined to obtain a new domain website before the year draws to a close. Blogging has been a passion of mine for years, and I am optimistic about the future. Do you also have a blog? If so, how long have you been blogging?

Do you have business cards?
I have chosen to have an online business card since the nature of my work is mainly online. I acquired the skills to create it through the guidance of my former online freelancing coach. She taught me the importance of having an online business card. The online business card is particularly beneficial in this digital era due to its cost-effectiveness and the ability to track the number of views it receives. Despite not having an offline business card, I acknowledge its potential benefits for business owners and individuals working in traditional office settings. An offline business card can leave a lasting impression as recipients can physically hold it, fostering a more personal connection and increasing the likelihood of being remembered. In addition, it communicates professionalism and strengthens brand identity. I will definitely have an offline business card when I become a business owner in the future.

How do you prevent your writing work from being stolen?
Experiencing the theft of your writing can be a frustrating experience. It can make you feel as though your hard work is being used without credit. Unfortunately, I have personally encountered instances where my writing was taken. Taking action to assert your rights over your work is essential to prevent such things from happening. One of the most effective steps you can take is to register your copyright. Doing so gives you legal protection. In addition, incorporating a watermark on your writing can help establish ownership and steer clear of unauthorized use. In today's digital age, implementing different digital security measures is essential to safeguarding your writing. Utilizing strong, unique passwords for any platforms or accounts where your writing is stored is essential to avoid unauthorized access. Regularly backing up your writing is equally important to prevent loss and preserve your work. Seeking guidance from fellow writers can also be invaluable in learning preventative measures against writing theft.

How do you stay motivated when writing is your full time job?
Because of my chronic illness, which prevents me from working outside the home, I focus primarily on what I do as a writer. My writing profession started in 2008, and while it is my love, I occasionally experience demotivation and creativity blocks. To remedy this, I created a dedicated space in my small apartment. The arrangement has a beautiful view and sufficient airflow, which helps me stay motivated while writing. To keep focus, I intentionally eliminate potential distractions, such as TV and radio. I also adjust my routine regularly, including short breaks. These pauses help boost my overall productivity and enable me to return to work with a fresh perspective. Balancing work and personal life is essential for avoiding burnout and maintaining a long-term creative practice.

Writing and Mental Health
In my experience, I found that living with my family took a toll on my mental health due to the toxic environment. However, writing became my refuge and allowed me to navigate through these challenging times. I set up a personal website to pour out my thoughts and feelings. Through this, I was able to find clarity and understand myself better. Writing became my coping mechanism, especially during the challenges brought on by the peak of the coronavirus pandemic. It not only alleviated my anxiety and stress but also became a mindful practice that fostered my creativity. Writing is helpful, indeed. I strongly believe that writing can have the same positive impact on others, offering a chance to enhance mental well-being. If you are not a good writer, do not worry. Remember, practice makes perfect.

Do you use social media to promote your writing work?
I have been writing for many years, trying many ways to express my thoughts and ideas. Around five or six years ago, I started a journey to use the power of different social media platforms to share and market my writing. Promoting my writing marked a break from my previous strategy, which had depended only on my blog and current clients to present my work. However, this shift in method led me to discover the many advantages of advertising one's writing. By actively promoting my writings, I have reached audiences from around the world. Using relevant hashtags, I intentionally targeted and interacted with specific audience segments, increasing the reach of my content. Furthermore, the act of promoting my writing has paved the way for expanded visibility, ensuring that my writings reach people who would not have discovered my work through traditional routes. This has broadened my audience and allowed for real contacts and exchanges, fostering the possibility of future collaboration from these people.

Have you participated in writing contests?
I have been involved in writing for the past ten years. It helps me improve my skills and express my creativity through different forms of writing. While I have not yet participated in any writing contests, I am interested in doing so in my spare time. Engaging in writing contests offers a great opportunity to showcase one’s writing skills to a global audience. Prospective readers and publishers from diverse corners of the world can discover and appreciate your work, potentially leading to rewarding opportunities for collaboration or publication. Awards or prizes through these contests can greatly enhance your recognition within the writing community and increase your prospects of securing high-paying writing jobs in the future. In addition, participating in writing contests serves as an effective method to combat writer's block, bolster confidence, and establish connections with fellow writers. These connections provide valuable support in overcoming writing challenges and serve as a source of motivation to continue creating persuasive content.

How Do You Connect Writing with Fellow Writers?
As a seasoned or old writer, it is essential to build connections within the writing community. By engaging with fellow writers, you can foster creativity, gain inspiration, and exchange invaluable insights or ideas. In addition, establishing bonds with other writers may lead to lasting friendships and present opportunities for advancing your writing career. Constructive feedback from them also plays a key role in enhancing your writing style and honing your skills. In my personal experience, I engage with other writers by participating in different writing groups on social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram. These groups provide a welcoming and supportive environment, enabling me to share my passion for writing while acquiring knowledge from others. Moreover, I contribute to some writing forums, where I consistently work on enhancing my craft and staying abreast of new writing methods and resources. Furthermore, I dedicate my free time to attending writing workshops guided by my former online coach. This multifaceted technique allows me to have meaningful connections and continually develop as a writer.

What are the Content Creation Challenges you come across?
I have been immersed in the world of content creation since 2008, gaining valuable experience while overcoming many challenges along the way. Despite my extensive experience in the online freelancing industry, particularly in writing, there are instances when I struggle with creative dry spells, leaving me at a loss for new ideas. Additionally, writer's block frequently impedes my progress, making it tough to gather my thoughts effectively. Moreover, the most recent obstacle I have encountered is the intensified competition within the industry. Securing writing jobs has become increasingly challenging due to the strong influence of artificial intelligence and the growing number of highly talented competitors. Unfortunately, this has led to a decline in the stability of my writing tasks. Another issue I face is maintaining consistency. My writing style becomes inconsistent at times.
