I think it’s okay if you ask once, but when you’re told no, accept it. Perhaps take the opportunity to ask for feedback and why that decision was taken. You can only learn from the feedback. But let them know you’re available for more work when required.

  3. I’d be furious to find out I’ve paid for something that was generated by AI. Freelancers doing this aren’t worth the name freelancer and those are the bad seeds destroying a good name and profession.
  4. I do yes. I find it incredibly hard to write about something that I'm not passionate about.

Used to be with Chrome for a long time, then a few months ago switched out to Brave. It’s also a very good browser, with built in protection, ad blocker, etc. And a lot of customizing options.
  8. Definitely, I agree. It is our duty to inform new freelancers and learn them how they can protect themselves.
  9. It's really a sad reality that many freelancers have to face. People are trying to make their life better by doing jobs and become more independent. But these fake clients just ruin it for everybody.
  10. This is something I've noticed lately being a unfortunate trend on Facebook groups and I wanted to share a friendly heads-up about it. There's been an increase in people pretending to be clients on Telegram, but they're actually out to scam hardworking freelancers like us. These fake clients often sound very convincing. They might even offer you what seems like a great project, but before you know it, you're caught in a scam. The key thing to remember is this: if you're doing business through Telegram, always do your homework on the company or person you're dealing with. Here are a few quick tips to protect yourself: Research the client: Before accepting any work, take a few minutes to Google the company or person. Look for reviews or any red flags. Trust your gut: I've said this before but if something feels off or too good to be true, it probably is. Don’t be afraid to walk away. Get verification: Ask for references or a company website. A legitimate client won't hesitate to provide you with proof of their credibility. Stick to secure payment methods: Never agree to payment methods that seem suspicious. Stick to platforms you trust, and don't send any work until you're sure the payment is secure. Remember, it's always better to be safe than sorry. We all want to land that next big project, but it’s important to protect ourselves in the process. Stay smart, stay safe, and keep doing the amazing work you do! ;) If you’ve had any experiences like this or have more tips to share, feel free to drop them below.

I’m very familiar with it. Even used it to overcome a writers block. I like how AI comes up with ideas where the human mind struggles. Sometimes when I write something I let AI check what I’ve written to make it more complete, more comprehensive and clear. When I first got introduced to ChatGPT, I was so amazed with its capabilities that I’ve literally copied and pasted everything it wrote. I know now that this is obviously frowned upon, and with good reason. Nowadays it’s easy to spot AI generated text. As said before, it lacks human touch. So I can only advise, use it with caution - as a tool - not a replacement.
  13. I think you're bound to run into issues sooner or later when you're not in sync. It's rare to have the exact same mindset and given the possibilities in programming, there's a lot of ways and mindsets. So finding a good partner isn't as easy as it sounds.
  14. In my experience, pair programming can be effective, but it largely depends on how well you and your partner complement each other's skills. Where one of you might have gaps in knowledge or experience, the other should ideally be stronger. I think it's crucial that you're both in sync, not just in terms of technical ability but also in communication and working style. When you’re attuned to each other, pair programming can become a powerful tool, but without that harmony, it can easily turn into a frustrating and unproductive exercise.

One thing that I always disliked on Fiverr or any other freelancer platform is the pricing. The market is so competitive and people just always tend to go lower than their competition. You end up losing quality when you do this. Know your value everyone, it's important to provide quality work and that costs money.
  16. Don't really have anything that comes to mind at the moment, but nonetheless wanted to share what I think are some big mistakes you shouldn't make. 1. Designing based on personal preferences rather than the needs and preferences of the audience and client. There is no room for personal preference. You can add your style to it, but if the client makes you design something their way, then do so. 2. Prioritizing design elements that look good over those that enhance usability and functionality. Easy navigation should always come first before visual design. 3. Not maintaining a clear and consistent communication with the client throughout the project. It's okay to be late, it's okay to ask feedback, it's okay to ask for a second opinion. As a client, it's great to be able to provide feedback in the process. 4. Using inconsistent fonts, colors, and design elements across different parts of the project. Nothing is more unprofessional than not having the same consistency throughout the design. Details matter. 5. Ignoring responsiveness. Design mobile first, then desktop, but make sure it's seamless on every view.
  17. I'm the second one. I often do things without fully understanding them, but the funny part is that they usually work, and it leaves me amazed. :ROFLMAO:

When I was a teen, I used to visit some bars where you could win money playing an arcade-like system with multiple games such as wheel of fortune. You could bet 0.25 to 6.25 per game. Where you could win up to 500 per game. I was never really addicted but it was fun to pass some time with friends. Drink a beer, play a few games and hopefully win something. We had times where we lost 50 to 100, and other times where we won a 1000 and called it a day. For me, it was the time passing with friends, and the excitement of winning money without doing much. But it's important to be able to call it a day. Whereas I've seen other spend their entire month wages and didn't win a thing. Or they spent like 1500 and won 500 and be happy. Not realizing that they still lost over a grand.
  19. I would say typically around 5. There's more I visit following a link from somewhere but the ones I frequently visit tend to be the same 5 on a daily basis.
  20. It's one of the first things I do when I wake up. I like to know how the day looks. :D
  21. Oh this takes me back for sure... Would love to see more customization possibilities.
  22. Agreed. There isn't really a one-size-fit-all answer here. Nonetheless, I've had some great success at similar niche websites and also Reddit. Reddit has a great advertisement platform.

Hi Alex. Welcome to Agora. :)
  24. If you have no experience, it's hard to get started. And it will always have its up and downs. I think many content writers learn from every experience they have and often say after that they could've done better. And as Shortie said, it's easy to fall into a burnout.
