7. Being well known helps tremendously in building a community. Networking is both on and offline a very important and underrated thing. So I definitely agree with you there.

12. Have you ever noticed how a lot of people sign up but then never post? I think a big reason for that is that they're intimidated to jump into discussions. It got me thinking — what if forums had dedicated mentors to help guide new users? Could you imagine a few of your members taking on this important role? The idea would be simple: a mentor's role would be to welcome new members, reach out with a friendly message, and help them get comfortable with posting, exploring different sections, or even just introducing themselves. Imagine someone saying, "Hey, if you ever need help or just want to chat, I'm here!" That kind of personal connection could make a world of difference. Some thoughts: Breaking the ice: Some new members might not know where to start or feel hesitant about jumping into an already established group. Guidance: A mentor could guide them through how things work, suggest popular threads, or even introduce them to other members with similar interests. Increased activity: Getting people involved early on means they'll be more likely to stick around and participate, which boosts overall community engagement. Building relationships: A warm welcome and support system helps make the forum feel more like a community and less like a place full of strangers. What do you all think? Would having mentors be a good idea for our community? Do you think it could help new members feel more comfortable and encourage them to be active? And if you’ve ever been a mentor (or had one), what was your experience like? Looking forward to hearing your thoughts! 😊

Yeah, I tried changing some things but unfortunately no change. I think it’s the font itself being a bit light designed. Increasing weight does not help. Increasing size does not help.

Bryn — let me know if this is better?

That’s alright. 👍 I’ll give it another test run with 1 px increased and see what others have to say. To be fair, I preferred it a pixel bigger too.

It was always like this though. It hasn’t changed. A few days ago it was 1px larger, but we reverted it due to the other theme. Is that when you are talking about?

There is a larger text version available in the theme selector on request by Seeker-Smith + 133% Would that be sufficient or would you want something else?
18. That’s actually really great considering it’s Jcink. I believe javascript tends to slow down a website quite significantly and Jcink relies very hard on javascript. A bit pity on the mobile score, but considering that the software is 20 years old, I don’t think anyone can complain. Many more recent softwares don’t achieve your score.

22. Tools like GTMetrix, Google Page Speed Insights or Cloudflare Speed Observatory (New) often reveal some crucial information how to improve your loading times. I'll be the first one to admit, I care more about this than I should. So I did some changes and got the following score: GTMETRIX: CLOUDFLARE: PAGE SPEED INSIGHTS: So there's still some room for improvement, although not much in my control. Feel free to share your scores. :D
