  1. If I can give some advice: when you command it to generate something, add your opinion or experience in it. It's how I find it to be at the best quality AI can get.
  2. In that case, I would code the header. Or just not have the color change possible and stick with the default color?

  4. Good point. The idea behind the support is not to do it for the credits. It would be a bit false to put a signature up, get the credits and shortly after remove the advertisement. :D Itโ€™s a little extra encouragement, but only do it if youโ€™re genuinely interested to support us, not to gain the credits. ๐Ÿ˜œ

Happy Friday all! Hope ya'll have a great weekend. :)
  7. Weโ€™ve all been there - launching a new feature or update, feeling excited, but not quite getting the feedback or engagement we were hoping for. Announcing that update feels great at first, but making sure your community knows about it - and more importantly, engages with it - is a whole different challenge. Personally, what I can recommend is alerting members about the feature. If you're using XenForo, you have the option to send out alerts to every member, which can help capture attention quickly. In my experience, this method tends to bring in a much higher conversion rate than just announcing the update without any alert. However, itโ€™s important to strike a balance - sending too many alerts can become annoying for members, so itโ€™s crucial to use this tool wisely. Another strategy Iโ€™ve found useful is the ability to tag a group of members in a post or topic. This also sends out an alert, and it works well for targeting specific groups that might benefit from or be interested in the new feature. Ideas to explore: Do you use announcements, newsletters, or events to spread the word about new features? What has worked best for you in terms of getting members excited about new updates? How do you ensure members not only know about the feature but also understand its value and how to use it? Have you ever had a feature rollout that didnโ€™t go as planned, and what did you learn from it? Feel free to pitch in! ;)
  8. At some point in our communities, we've had staff members go inactive. Or there's people who just don't care to be involved. Your team plays a crucial role in the success of your community, but getting them actively engaged is sometimes a challenge. As a leader, how do you encourage your staff to take ownership and contribute to the communityโ€™s success? Questions to consider: Do you offer specific incentives, payments or perks to keep staff motivated and engaged? How do you ensure your team stays aligned with your communityโ€™s goals and values? What strategies do you use to foster collaboration and enthusiasm among your moderators or admins? Have you ever faced challenges in getting staff more involved, and how did you overcome them? Letโ€™s discuss the best ways to empower staff members and create a team thatโ€™s deeply involved in your communityโ€™s growth.
  9. Your community growth is more than just watching your member count go up. Itโ€™s more about understanding how active and engaged your users are, how often they return, and what content resonates with them, etc. Things to think about: What metrics do you use to measure your community's growth beyond just new sign-ups? How do you track member retention, post frequency, or user engagement? Are there specific tools or analytics you rely on to get a clearer picture of your communityโ€™s health? How do you measure success after launching a new feature, event, or section in your forum? Share your insights and the key metrics you've found most useful in understanding and boosting community growth. :)
  10. Two more days - get your last bids in everyone! :)
  11. As admins, we wear many hats - handling front-end design, back-end development, community management, advertising, staying creative, and being patient. The workload has grown, making it harder to reach an audience, get the support we need, and find staff to help. Yet, despite the challenges, our love for forums keeps us going, and the increased workload doesnโ€™t deter us.

Oh in that case, playing outside, biking, getting dirty, and playing video games. :D
  13. One thing I find challenging is gauging how active forums used to be compared to now. Everyone strives for a thriving, growing community, but it's much harder to achieve today than it was 15 years ago. For me, it's important to manage my expectations so I donโ€™t get discouraged.
  14. There's always a difference how you interact in person compared to on forums. If you would send me something privately, I'll give my reaction, but I'll likely ignore it if you'd post the same thing on forums.
  15. Genius work. Got a beta myself by now. ๐Ÿ™ˆ

Honestly? Probably building forums. ๐Ÿ™ˆ That and just coming home, no worries, game on and relax.

I never went to school with much motivation. I wanted to get through the day as fast as possible. Which is a shame, as looking back now, being older and realizing that school is the best time of your life.
  19. That's so cool. Did you get a big paycheck? :P Looks good though.
  20. Iโ€™m curious to know how many moderators you guys have in relation to the size of your community. Obviously, there isn't a one-size-fits-all as some niches require more staff than the other. But finding the right staff-to-member ratio can be trickyโ€”too many mods might feel overbearing, while too few can make it hard to manage things effectively. Questions to consider: How many moderators do you currently have compared to your member count? Do you feel like your current ratio is working, or do you think more/less staff would improve things? At what point did you feel it was necessary to bring on additional mods? What do you look for when deciding to add more staff members to your team? Letโ€™s share our experiences and see how different communities approach the staff-to-member ratio!
