They are rebooting the Harry Potter franchise, however, they are making a tv show instead of doing movies again.

 

They have already gotten John Lithgow to play Professor Dumbledore.

Paapa Essiedu is reportedly cast to play Professor Severus Snape.

Sharon Hogan is reportedly cast to play Professor Minerva McGonagall.

Brett Goldstien is reportedly cast to play Rubeus Hagrid.

What channel will the reboot be on? I haven’t heard much of the reboot but it sounds interesting.

Harry Potter as always being my favourite TV series. I really can't wait for the reboot. JK Rowling did a great job in the novel.

It's going to be an HBO original.

It definitely will be interesting. Usually HBO stuff is good, so I am assuming the show will be very different from the movies and a lot more in tune with the books.

 

To be honest, I feel a bit uneasy about it, since people are already overanalysing every bit of information that comes out. I would like to watch it once it comes out, if I can.

I'm not sure how I feel about the reboot. I'm not a fan of JK Rowling at all anymore, but I can separate the art from the artist. However I loved the films and I'm afraid a reboot might ruin what I liked about them.

I loved the original books and movies, but I won't be watching this.

The whole Snap cast drama on the internet says enough. I hate that they’ve done this to him.

I really hope it turns out good, I like to see the books properly done to the tv screen.

The movie series was pretty good, and i am seriously looking forward to this reboot. I just hope they don't mess it up like they tend to mess so many other reboots.

I've been wondering if it wasn't too soon to soon to do a reboot on the Harry Potter series.

I am interested in watching this though. I'm going to at least give it a try.
