Posted March 4Mar 4 Community Expert Administrators When you're running a community, do you handle most of your admin tasks on a desktop, or do you rely on your phone? Some people swear by their dual-monitor setups, while others are out here moderating from their pocket. What’s your setup, and do you ever wish admin tools were even more mobile-friendly?
March 4Mar 4 Desktop only, because to me it's near-impossible to use the Admin CP from your phone (using it from your tablet may be alright even with a stylus, but it's not practical). https://mindsconnected.tech Tech forum for all...
March 4Mar 4 Community Expert Administrators I manage my site on my mobile phone. I’m able to do most of the tasks via my phone, but if I can’t, I tend to ask someone to help me out. Somethings are hard to do via mobile, especially editing templates as the screen is smaller. Owner of a Virtual Pets Forum.
March 4Mar 4 Content Team I only manage my websites on my desktop. It's too difficult to navigate things on my phone, and my desktop can handle multitasking a heck of a lot better than my Moto G 5G. Love roleplaying games? So do we on RPG Haven!
March 5Mar 5 Community Expert Unless I was in public and someone was spamming my board and needed to be banned, or for any other reason, I do all administration tasks on desktop. Since many of my administration tasks occasionally relate to coding, I want to save those for doing on a desktop so I don't blow up my forum.
March 11Mar 11 Moderators I manage from desktop. I some times check my websites on my phone but that is just to see the activities, I don't even log into administrative account on my websites. However, sometimes I post on forums, where I am a normal user or a general staff, through my phone . Admin Junkies * Sports Forum * ROFLMAO * Off Topicz * Is It Just Me? * Marketing Forums
March 11Mar 11 Managing from desktop is the easiest way of going through your workflow for your site. I've tried it via mobile and it felt that everything took longer and was more of a hassle to me.
March 16Mar 16 I use my iPad Air most of the time. Some of the more technical stuff will happen on the desktop but my iPad is my go to device for most things.
March 17Mar 17 Moderation?... easy on a phone for me. Administration? ... only on my desktop. CLASSIFIED: TOP SECRET
March 17Mar 17 I don't use a desktop, I use a laptop. My husband has a desktop that he built himself. We each have our own computer now so we can work in peace and no one is arguing over whose turn it is to use the computer. But I chose desktop because I don't log in on my phone.
March 21Mar 21 Both. I often check my site on mobile when I'm not home, but I use my laptop whenever I need to update any code, or create bigger posts. Online Poker Forums - Home Game Leaderboards - Sign Up Bonuses
March 23Mar 23 I'm a hybrid user as I use both the mobile and desktop. I love the convenience of being able to respond to post and moderation on my phone but for things I couldn't do on my phone, I resort to using the desktop.
