Your goal for 2025? (2 Viewers)

What’s your goal, or at least one goal, for 2025 that you plan to accomplish within the year?
Mine is to travel as much as possible and create travel vlogs for YouTube! :censored:

This past year, my main goal has been to become more financially stable, though it's been challenging with more downs than ups. By April, I should finally be in a better position to make progress. I have a loan ending in February, and with my daughter starting school in April, daycare expenses will end too. Altogether, this will free up over €1000 each month, allowing us to save more by the end of 2025 than we initially planned.

My second goal is to enjoy life more. I recently lost my mother-in-law at only 56, a reminder that life can end any day.

Lastly, I want to continue building Administrata into a larger, more supportive community that empowers fellow admins to the best of our ability.

I want to reclaim what is mine: I've spent the last couple of years not really building anything for myself, after a pretty big explosion of my previous hobby project for complicated reasons, followed by one of the biggest hits of burnout I've ever professionally experienced which has taken months of taking it easy to try to recuperate from, and I'm hoping that 2025 sees that baggage gone.

I've got several ideas brewing that might actually get somewhere meaningful if I can keep up the momentum on them - some have had to go back to the drawing board for one reason or another but there's a couple that might mature into something meaningful and I'd like that to be in 2025.

@Cedric sorry to hear about your mother-in-law. Life really is too short.

Personal: I want to get some debt paid off. I'm not in extreme debt but I need to get some of it under control.

Brand: I want to get my YouTube channel to 10K subscribers. I'm at around 6K now. I'd like to get my Facebook page to 50K followers. I hit 21K the other day. I want to get some passive income things started with it.

Other: I want to start some passive income projects with Serious Bloggers. I also want to launch a few podcasts.

And of course, bike and hike more and try to shed some pounds.

I don't necessarily do New Year's resolutions, but I'd like to keep building up my bank account for future funds. That's a little tough to do when you only work part-time and have bills, gas, food/drink, etc. to pay for. I could try looking for a second job, but I'm pretty clueless about what type of job that could be since I've only ever been in the retail and food industry. I used DoorDash to make some extra bucks, but after getting close to being in wrecks a few times, I've felt safer doing away with that due to the crazy traffic in our town.

Thank you so much for sharing such a heartfelt and inspiring update. It sounds like you've been navigating some big challenges, and it’s amazing to see the progress you’re making. That’s incredible news about the upcoming financial relief freeing up €1000 per month is huge and will make such a difference!

I’m also so sorry to hear about your mother-in-law. Life truly is precious and unpredictable, and it’s wonderful that you’re honoring her memory by embracing life more fully.

And your dedication to building Administrata into a welcoming, empowering space for admins. Wishing you every success with these goals and a bright, joyful 2025 ahead!

It sounds like you've been through quite a journey same as me :( , and it takes real resilience to come back from burnout and rebuild. It’s inspiring to hear that you’re feeling ready to reclaim your passion and start fresh. It’s great that you've got ideas brewing and are already laying the groundwork for what could be a meaningful 2025. Keep nurturing that momentum! Sometimes those pauses and setbacks can bring new perspectives and help create something even better than before. Wishing you all the best as you bring your ideas to life, 2025 sounds like it's going to be an exciting year for you!

Your goals sound awesome! Getting debt under control is such a big step , even if it’s not overwhelming, having it in check must feel like a huge relief. And congrats on the growth of your YouTube and Facebook channels! It’s not easy getting to those numbers, so hitting 21K on Facebook and 6K on YouTube is something to be proud of! I am still struggling with my youtube channel and have only 3K subs, on the other hand facebook does not give a damn about my page, even I am very active but it just does not reach to the new audience. I run multiple blogging sites but Google's march update has killed my sites and now almost at zero traffic no matter what I do :(

I think starting passive income projects and launching podcasts with Serious Bloggers sounds super exciting. that's my goal too and out goals are so much similar . Those ventures can open so many doors and give you that financial freedom everyone’s after. And I totally get the bike and hike part, finding balance is key, right? Best of luck with everything, and keep us posted on your progress. Rooting for you all the way!

I totally get where you're coming from, saving up while juggling bills and part-time work isn’t easy at all. Building up a little financial cushion is such a great goal, though, so props to you for focusing on it!

For a second gig idea, maybe something like remote work could be an option? It sounds like you’ve got solid experience with customer service, so you might be able to find online positions where you can use those skills. There are often part-time options for things like virtual assistance, customer support, or even freelance tasks that don’t involve risking life and limb in traffic!

And who knows, sometimes new opportunities pop up where you least expect them. Just keep an eye out, and don’t be hard on yourself. You’re already taking steps in the right direction, and that’s something to be proud of!
From your DoorDash experience, I remember, there is a lady on youtube, she was struggling for like 4 years and totally broke. She then started showing her DoorDash deliveries in her youtube vlogs and in 2 months she gained from 3 hundred subscribers to 55 thousand subscribers and on her first month she made over 6 thousand dollars on youtube and the previous month she made over 9 thousand dollars. She is blowing up now a days on youtube and left DoorDash and sits at home, makes money. If you want you can check her journey for just motivation (DoughDash) is her youtube channel.

I am just giving you an idea, it might open up new ideas for you and can lead to success. Wishing you all the best bro.

My goal is to keep expanding my site, and hopefully have a self sustaining business in 2025.
