Would you start your own forum software? What features would you add and what sort of pricing would you charge (If the software wasn't free)?

Nah, I've seen too many come and go to want to enter that market. It takes experience to make a dent in the market, so I leave it to the pros

That is a major undertaking that requires a ton of experience... I wouldn't even think about it. I am trying to make an addon and wow, I have been 3 days sitting here battling with this

No, I'm happy using Xenforo and IPS, to start something me would be a huge undertaking with no return.
