Engagement Why are you not active on your forum?

I see a lot of forum owners who are not active on their forums. Some of them are even members of this forum.

My question to them is: Why are you not active on your forum?

My question to everyone is: Do you think forum owners need to always be active on their forum no matter the size or engagement level of the community?

Most of the time, I see forum owners become inactive when the forum grows to a level where many people are visiting and posting each day. The owner will become very quiet at that point even if there isn't that much behind-the-scenes needs going on.

Why do you think that is?

i am very active on my forum but when i am not i am either organizing meeting with my teams or doing stuff behind the scenes like SEO or Monetization brainstorming methods. Anything i do is in relation to the site

I’m always active on my forum, as I believe it’s important for an owner to remain an active part of their community regardless of its size. That said, I understand why some forum owners become less active once their forums grow significantly. At that point, they may feel their presence is less needed or rely on a team to handle day-to-day operations and keep things running smoothly.

However, I’m not a fan of stepping back entirely. I think an owner’s active involvement sets the tone for the community and reinforces a sense of connection and leadership. Whether a forum is small or large, I believe the owner’s presence adds value and helps foster engagement and loyalty among members.

I've been fairly inactive on my forum for about the past month. Well, in terms of posting at least. I still log in to view the board every day. I'm always looking out for new coding support or code request topics. Since my board is more dedicated to coding/resources and not necessarily discussions, I've always tried to focus on the vocal point of the forum. I've come to a point where all I can think of is to keep converting skins from old forum software to Jcink since I feel like I've exhausted all the coding ideas I can come up with.

I'm usually active. I have days where I'm stressed out, and I'm less active. I tend to overwork myself trying to reach my goals.
