Talking to others can sometimes bring up surprising and awkward situations. We've all experienced moments when someone asks an embarrassing question. These situations can be a little awkward or really uncomfortable.

What's the most awkward or strange question someone has asked you, and how did you handle that uncomfortable moment?

I used to get coworkers asking me personal questions about my transition. They would ask what surgeries I was going to get if I was getting any. I didn't really mind answering these questions because they were curious and wanted to learn and I knew it wasn't coming from a place of malice but other people could kind of see it as being awkward. I no longer work at that place though, and everyone respects me enough at work not to ask those personal questions.

Wife and I were out comet watching, a few people were there too.

A guy walks up to me and asks "are you Mexican? I mean, your darker".

I was shocked stunned speechless. I didn't know how to respond, as a plain white person with maybe a slight tan. I was completely offended that those words came out of his mouth. People are so racist anymore.

What transition surgery did you have??

Everyone has their own beauty.. it doesn't matter what skin color you have. Sadly, the most racism I heard was about people who mostly belong to some European countries. Americans also included.

Something along the lines of, "Can you duckwalk naked on this line until I tell you to stop?"

Oh, the things that we'll do for money...

Sounds like something I'd ask if I were a cop.

When I was a teenager, I was really socially awkward and a bit of a recluse, probably because of self-image and confidence issues. One day not long before I left secondary school (think I was either 14 or 15), a really cute girl in my class asked me if I'd walk her home that afternoon. I managed to stumble over my words to agree, but when it came to it, I walked her to basically the end of her road, where she suggested I should "go in" to her house with her because her parents weren't there - at which point, for some reason, my teenage mind shit the bed, and I literally couldn't say anything.

When the girl leaned into me and kissed my cheek and whispered for me to come and "watch a movie" with her, for some reason I felt like she'd just asked me for a kidney. For some reason that I still can't fathom today - I turn around and literally ran away.

Ah. You must ask yourself, what if?

She could've been your wife today. :P

Crazy to think how our lives would change if our choices would've been different at the time.

Yes, my mind works weird sometimes.
