Moderation What Are Good Moderator Guidelines & Procedures?

For topics focused on managing moderators and handling community issues.
Hello,

Good Moderator Guidelines & Procedures are informational, easy to understand, helpful, and they should explain what your moderators should do and not be doing. Another part about Moderator Guidelines are setting up a system for Mod Warnings or Mod Strikes, for my forum I tend to give them a reminder first then after 4 Mod Strikes they're off the team.

Moderator Procedures: Moderator Procedures can consist of rules, guides, etc. I like to have my forum rules pulled up while creating my moderator procedures. You want to be sure to add a procedure for each rule and if they have questions obviously, let them ask you. If you have it set up where your members get banned after a small amount of warnings because they're problematic, I created the infractions tool.

Infractions: Your Moderator Procedures can also consist of a infractions list. It is better to color-code your stuff for easier navigation. Infractions is the degree in which the rule breachers action is.

Staff Guidelines: these can be whatever is appropriate for your forum. Just add a bit of common sense and you'll be fine.

My Example:

Staff Guidelines
1. Don't Block Users
2. You can't be moderator on any other forum
3. Have fun!
(The rest can be whatever you think is appropriate)

Small infractions
Each user must get 5 warning points for Small Infractions, after that (ban, suspended their account, etc) for (The Duration)

(All The Non Serious Rules Go here)

Medium Infractions

- Arguing
(All The Kind Of serious stuff go here)

Major Infractions
No Warning Points, Just a ban
- Mass Harassment (Constantly Harassing Usrs after numerous consequences)
