Are you someone who enjoys spoiling your loved ones? If so, in what ways do you tend to spoil your loved ones. If you don't spoil your loved ones, what are your thoughts on spoiling the ones we hold dear to us?
For me I LOVE spoiling loved ones and those who make a positive impact in my life. I am 100% there for them and I love them spoil them with gift baskets on their birthdays (I used to run a gift basket business). I'll also set up a photoshoot for friends who enjoy those kinds of activities to help boost their confidence or feel good about themselves. When I didn't have much money to spend I would make a cute picnic with foods and snacks that they enjoy. I find sometimes it's the small things that make a difference. Remembering their favourite chocolate bar, or colour so you can make a gift basket with those colours.. etc.
I believe it's important to show your loved ones that you care and that you appreciate them. I want my friends to feel good about themselves and to be reminded that they are loved and thought of.
Just today I went out and got a spa package (1/2 massage and a medi pedi) for my neighbour because she has been going through a lot lately. To explain a bit more, I usually bring her 2 daughters (one in grade 2 and one in grade 3) to school and pick them up 3 days a week and watch them until about 430-5 when their parents get home from work. I also have the kids over sometimes to do some baking and arts as they love that and to give my neighbours a bit of a break because they do have a busy lifestyle. The dad does shift work and the mom has a regular 9-5 typ job. The girls are in a few different dance classes and stay active so it can get pretty exhausting for the parents at times. The dad does struggle with mental health and in October he will be going to treatment for a few weeks leaving the mom to basically take care of everything. Of course, I'm going to help her out as much as I can and as much as she would like that I help but I also feel like she could use a spa day where it's all about her and how she feels rather than focus on the girls, her husband and other things going on in life.
Do you ever do such things for your loved ones? Would you ever do such things for loved ones??
I will admit, right now money isn't too tight and I am able to do such things for the ones I love. But if money was more tight and I was unable to pay for spa packages or flowers or anything like that I would resort to drawing them their favourite animal or having a desserts & wine night with them.
