As soon as I click on "Update your status", the space to type disappears and gets replaced by the "Post" button.

Yes, I’m aware of it. Just haven’t been able to resolve it. When you start typing, the text reappears. But I’ve got it planned to fix soon.

It was a theme error on Cosmic, which is the theme we're using here.
