What are your thoughts on question and answer sites like Quora, JustAnswer, and Stack Overflow?

Do you think these platforms can be valuable marketing tools for forum owners, or are they ultimately useless?

Have you ever used these sites to find answers to specific questions? How do you think forums can leverage these platforms to generate new content and attract users?

I've used Stack Overflow when I needed to learn how to do something with my website. It's a good site for a lot of questions/answers related to programming.

I believe they serve a purpose and aren't bad. They offer helpful information to those looking for it, and heck in some cases you can easily find the answer you're looking for because someone else had the same questions that you did. They're not really good for getting to know other members though, but there's other platforms for that purpose.

I like Quora and visit it often for different topics. It's a great place to find different opinions and ideas. I think Question and answer sites can be really useful for forum owners to attract visitors and engage people in discussions... Forums can use these sites by sharing expert answers, starting conversations on popular questions, and attracting new users through promotion.

Stack Overflow has been a godsend in my coding journey. Every time I don't know how to do something, I find a solution there.

I like question and answer sites, I have used a lot of question and answer sites, to ask question, to get answers, to make money. However, I am not active on any question and answer sites at the moment. I like Quora and I have always though if we build forums in a way that they work exactly like quora where people come to ask questions and get answers, I believe forums would be more popular.
