Freelancing is very rewarding, there is no doubt about that but it can be very stressful especially if you encounter difficulties along the line. That's why I try to develop strategies for managing stress and for maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
Managing stress as a freelancer is crucial to avoid burn outs. I’d recommend to anyone to take regular breaks away from screens, going for walks, exercising, etc. I would further suggest, if appropriate to the circumstances to temporarily hold on accepting new orders until your current workload is complete.
You should not be so engrossed in your work all the time. Make sure you make out time for yourself and your hobbies, enjoy yourself and have fun. This will help you manage your stress effectively.
