What do you think of the update? Are you planning to upgrade, or are you sticking with your current setup?

I have a forum running on IC V5. I'll be running the upgrade in a little bit. Finally after around 15 beta releases. :)

I am a little disappointed that there isn't a one click upgrade. Other than that I am glad they kept to the dev timeline and released in the time frame.

To uograde it will take some planning. When I uogrded one my sites early on I removed all files except for the upload folder. Another way just wouldn't work.

What do you mean, removed all files? You didn’t extract the contents and hit the upgrader?

I deleted all the 4.7.x files except for upload folder, constants.php and config.php. Uploaded the files from the zip and went to /admin/upgrade to to finish. There was never an option in the admin cp to upgrade. Only option in admin was to read the upgrade docs. This was an upgrade from 4.7.20 to 5.0.
