Did you use vbulletin back in the day?

Vbulletin was a popular forum software that many people used in the early 2000s. It had a lot of features and customization options that made it attractive for online communities. Do you remember using Vbulletin back in the day? What were some of the forums that you visited or created with it?

vB was everywhere back then. There were free alternatives too. MyBB was the closest.

I LOVED vBulletin! A huge forum I was on decided to convert and everyone was in an uproar. I tried getting some friends to start a new forum to retain vbulletin, but they weren't fast enough and eventually the members adjusted to Xenforo. It's a shame that we didn't get it started because it would have taken off fast for the diehards.

I absolutely loved vBulletin during the 1, 2 and 3 days. Used it on SO many different sites. I loved some of the knock-offs, too, like wBB1, heBB, ovBB and early MyBB. So much fun in those days, everyone tried to be vB

I still see a few big boards using this outdated software, it's a real security risk.

I never really used vB sadly. Was too much into InvisionFree and ZetaBoards. Wasn't used to the concept of paying for software, when I could get it for free. And I was also too young.
