If you want to make sure your members notice something important, like an event or announcement, sending out a forum-wide alert or personal message (PM) or DM is the way to go! Alerts pop up as red notices at the top of the page, making them hard to miss, while PMs create a more personal touch by delivering directly to the member’s inbox.

Use alerts for time-sensitive or important updates, like new features, community meetups, or major changes. It’s like putting a big neon sign where everyone can see it. For more tailored communication, PMs are perfect for reaching out to specific members or groups, letting them know about an event, task, or even just a reminder.
