Totally disagree.
I don't have very strong people skills - but I do have very strong academic skills, so, when applying for jobs, I was able to point to my First Class degree from Oxford as proof that I'd be an able employee.
Without that, I don't know what I would have done!
First-class Master of Mathematics degree from St John's College, Oxford.
I hardly ever use the mathematics itself in real life, but getting the degree has certainly helped me get a job as a software developer!

Sure, it'll probably transform the process by which art is created. It'll probably be able to eliminate much of the tedious drudge work. But I think a skilled artist is always going to create works of superior quality to what I can do just by generating them with AI...
